Biography
Andrew Leyshon is Professor of Economic Geography, University of Nottingham (since 1999). He is the (co-) author or (co-) editor of six books (plus three more in preparation) and over 80 academic journal papers and book chapters. He has edited three theme issues of international journals, was Editor-in-Chief of Geoforum (a leading international journal of Human Geography) 1995-2006, has presented over 90 conference papers and seminars, been a Principal Investigator on six major Economic and Social Research Council grants, and has total career research funding of over £700,000. He is on the Management Board of the Global Finance Centre at the University of Nottingham Ningbo Campus, a member of the Research Planning Group of the Financial Services Research Forum, and Deputy Head of the School of Geography, University of Nottingham. In 2007 he was elected as an Academician of the Academy of Social Sciences.
