Biography
Andrew Leyshon is Professor of Economic Geography, University of Nottingham (since 1999). He is the (co-) author or (co-) editor of six books (plus three more in preparation) and over 80 academic journal papers and book chapters. He has edited three theme issues of international journals, was Editor-in-Chief of Geoforum (a leading international journal of Human Geography) 1995-2006, has presented over 90 conference papers and seminars, been a Principal Investigator on six major Economic and Social Research Council grants, and has total career research funding of over £700,000. He is on the Management Board of the Global Finance Centre at the University of Nottingham Ningbo Campus, and a member of the Research Planning Group of the Financial Services Research Forum. In 2007 he was elected as an Academician of the Academy of Social Sciences.
